I don't think I'm very wise
xixi says:
u r wise,arent u
persona non grata says:
Um, some think so. What of it?
xixi says:
what wud be a good reason to break up with someone?
or do u need a reason to take such action at all?
say waht u think ,cong
persona non grata says:
The present relationship's setup is no longer representative of reality, or it is unsuitable, or it is inadequate. (I use reset-based relationship models.)
xixi says:
:P very helpfully(highly ironically just in case you didn't notice
I'd like to be in the world which you live in for sometime
just to see what it is like
persona non grata says:
I'm a Pure Mathematician, a Logician, and a Romantic Idealist.

How is that unhelpful, then?
I don't like hot-modify relationship models, but I suppose they can be wrapped for consistency.
xixi says:
too abstract to apply to the real situition
you are cute
persona non grata says:
Basically, if the relationship's understandings and assumptions no longer hold, it no longer exists, so the people involved are broken up. More specific?
xixi says:
specify understandings and assumptions
you mean mutual agreements between two ppl involved?
persona non grata says:
They should be specified and mutually understood at the initial formal recognition of such a relationship. I mean those and others.
xixi says:
under what conditions wud it be reasonable for one of the two individuals to initiate a break-up?
time for bed
persona non grata says:
One of them feels like it - relationships are founded on mutual agreement, and evaporate if that is lacking.
Okay. Night!

What are relationship models? I got mathematical things when I googled it and wasn't sure if that was really what you were talking about (though it wouldn't surprise me).

And what could make you think you are not especially wise?

Basically, how one understands relationships and performs logic on them.

As I said, I use a reset model - any time a relationship changes, the old relationship goes and the new one is put into place. Most often this is invisible.

I also allow relationships to be observed consisting exclusively of explicit promises; which gives me stuff to think about and work with - dedicated formal declarations are not always that useful.

My actions. I procrastinate with impressive skill. Also, I could be less aggressive when confronted with idiocy.

Oh, okay. Interesting.

I procrastinate too.

Yep. Logical modelling is good.

I'd have to agree with him, you are cute. But unlike him (her?) I'm not patronizing you.

And s/he's a bit of a slow one. Since when do you need a REASON to end a relationship.

It's a her.

What do you mean by "REASON"? We may not mean the same thing.

Reason:
1. A motive.
2. An explanation or a justification.

Well, there will always be an explanation, won't there?

That's why. You don't really need a motive to dump anyone. "I don't feel like a relationship" is a perfectly valid reason. It's a perfectly valid explanation, albeit a rather unsatisfactory one.

My point is her question was asking for a silly reply.

Right, okay. While making your point, you made a very confusing statement whose parse doesn't fit.

It was posted in [info]heartdivide. I like artistic icons, and this one, in particular, stood out to me. That's it.

Cong, how in the world do you end up calling yourself a Romantic Idealist, hm?

By arbitrary self-identification. Do you disagree?

Well, yes, definitely.

What definitions are you using, and what, exactly, do you think a Romantic Idealist is?

Okay. Care to suggest something appropriate?

I meant to claim that
1) I construct idealised principles, justify them and hold to them.
2) I think these principles can be maintained despite weariness with the world and humanity.

Mm. Well, I don't know if you are using "Idealist" the way you wish to or not, but I know, certainly, that there is very little in the way of "Romantic" about you, no matter what definition you use, capital "r" or no capital. d:

Tell me, what does "Romantic" mean?

Also, care to suggest more appropriate terminology?
